About ACLB
The Appraiser Certification and Licensure Board (ACLB) certifies and regulates real estate appraisers and appraiser assistants in Oregon. Its functions are independent of other realty-related regulatory agencies.
The ACLB protects the public by ensuring that all real estate-appraisal activities conducted in Oregon are in compliance with state and federal laws and standards. The ACLB is committed to ensuring the availability of state-certified appraisers; establishing and developing appraisal education and experience requirements; and ensuring that appraisals are performed in writing and in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice by individuals whose competency has been demonstrated and whose professional conduct is subject to effective supervision;.
